In early 2020, I emailed Goodberry’s, the frozen custard shop in Raleigh, with an idea to improve how they shared their Flavor of the Day. At the time, the only ways to find out the daily Goodberry’s flavor were by checking their website, doing a quick Google search, or following their social media posts.

My proposal was simple: create a public calendar for Goodberry’s Flavor of the Day that customers could subscribe to on their phones. That way, fans of Goodberry’s frozen custard could always know today’s flavor, tomorrow’s flavor, or even look ahead at the full schedule—all without having to dig around online. I even suggested embedding the calendar directly on the Goodberry’s website so it would automatically update.

Back then, Goodberry’s never responded to my email and didn’t launch their own calendar. To fill the gap, I built my own Goodberry’s Flavor of the Day calendar and kept it updated month after month for other custard lovers like me.

Finally, in fall 2023, Goodberry’s introduced their own official public calendar for the Flavor of the Day. This was a big step forward, and it’s made my own flavor-tracking project much smarter and more automated. Now, instead of manually entering each month’s schedule, I can connect directly to Goodberry’s feed and keep my calendar, statistics, and flavor dashboards perfectly in sync.

To subscribe to my Goodberry’s Flavor of the Day calendar using Apple iCal, follow these instructions:

Step 1: Copy the following link to your device’s clipboard

Step 2: On your iOS/MacOS/iPadOS device, go to Settings > Calendar > Accounts > Add Account > Other > Add Subscribed Calendar.

Step 3: Paste the copied link into the provided field.

Once you complete these steps, the calendar will automatically update from that point onward.

Google Calendar

If you prefer using Google Calendar, you can subscribe to the Flavor of the Day calendar by selecting “Subscribe via Google Calendar” below.
